The Arizona Department of Transportation announced overnight alternating lane closures on State Route 89A in Jerome while pavement repair work is underway, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday Oct. 12 through the morning of Oct. 14.
The work will occur between Country Road (milepost 344) and the roundabout at Cement Plant Road (milepost 349).
SR 89A will be narrowed to one lane with alternating north- and southbound travel. Lane closures will be 1 to 2 miles long with delays of approximately 15 minutes. Flaggers and a pilot car will stop and direct drivers through the work zone.
The closures are needed for maintenance crews to complete crack-seal work, which protects and extends the life of the pavement.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while work is underway.
