A single-engine Beechcraft airplane crashed into the side of Airport Mesa on Sunday, April 15, around 12:15 p.m. killing three people.
Identification of the pilot and two passengers is pending, according to the Sedona Police Department.
The plane was attempting to land in high winds at Sedona Airport. The plane fell short and crashed north of the runway.
Emergency crews closed Airport Road for approximately one hour.
