Yavapai County is auctioning off some of its excess property through an online auction.
Linda Hippe, right-of-way specialist, said there are 11 properties for sale.
Prices for the different size parcels range from $28,000 for 0.30 acres in Verde Village Unit 7 just outside of Cottonwood to $300,000 for 10.3 acres located inside the Prescott city limits.
Realauction.com is the vendor handling the auction.
This is the first online auction of real property held in Yavapai County. Complete information can be found at www.yavapai.

“The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors has chosen to sell some county-owned surplus real property by Internet auction,” Public Works Director Phil Bourdon said. “The Internet auction will save time and resources as well as expose the properties to more potential bidders than traditional auction methods.
“The treasurer’s office has conducted their tax certificate sale in this manner for the past several years with great success,” he said.
Properties listed for sale are not tax-defaulted parcels but are properties that have been deeded to the county. Funds collected from the sale will be returned to the county’s General Fund, Highway Users Revenue Fund or Flood Control District based on current ownership of the properties.
“The online format opens the bidding opportunity to the greatest number of bidders,” Realauction.com CEO Lloyd McClendon said. “The Web site will manage this auction and remain available for future sales of surplus properties.”
Bidders can register and place bids at www.yavapai.realauction.

The auction will close Tuesday, July 24, at 9 a.m. Mountain Standard Time, when winners will be determined.
Prospective bidders may find information on the Web site or by calling 1-877-732-5282.
