Sedona Main Street Program invites revelers to enjoy the “spook-tacular” festivities in Uptown Sedona on Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m.

“The tradition started years ago when local children needed a safe and fun experience for Halloween night,” said Holly Epright, executive director of  the program.

In its early days, only a few merchants participated. Now, it is difficult to find a merchant who doesn’t get involved, Epright said.

Merchants will decorate their windows with jack-o-lanterns, dress in their craziest costumes, and hand out candy to children of all ages with their “mummies and daddies,” she quipped.

This year there will also be live performances presented by Martha’s Party Productions, including the Groovy Graveyard’s performance of Thriller and Ghost Rave at C-Market on the corner of Hwy 89A and Jordan Road.

Illup the Tortured Contortionist will be on display at Sedona Outdoors in its storefront window for easy viewing, at Orchards Plaza.

Parking is available in the Uptown Municipal Parking Lot and Wayside Chapel Parking Lot on Schnebly Road. Additional parking may be found along Hwy. 89A and in the parking lots provided by many of the plazas and shops.
