The owner of Don Hoel’s Cabins, in Oak Creek Canyon, seeks rezoning to allow for a subdivision containing 11 building lots ranging in size from a 0.5 acres to an 1.5 acres.

The owner of Don Hoel’s Cabins, in Oak Creek Canyon, seeks rezoning to allow for a subdivision containing 11 building lots ranging in size from a 0.5 acres to an 1.5 acres.

Currently there are 20 lodging cabins on approximately 13 acres that are not currently in use.

Three public meetings will be held to gather public comments which will be used by Coconino County’s Development Department.

Two meetings will be on Saturday, Jan. 19. Residents north of Slide Rock State Park are invited to come at 1 p.m. and residents south of Slide Rock are invited for 3 p.m.

An open meeting will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m.

All meetings will be held at Don Hoel’s Community Building at 9440 N. Hwy. 89A. Reservations are necessary.

For more information or reservations, call 1-928-773-1124 by Tuesday, Jan. 15. The meetings are hosted by the law office of William Ring, who represents the owner of the property.
