One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on I-17 at the Hwy. 179 overpass Wednesday, May 28.

The driver of a sport-utility vehicle apparently lost control, struck a guardrail then skidded atop a concrete bridge rail before the vehicle rolled over. The driver’s injuries were minor, consisting mostly of cuts and abrasions which required a trip to Verde Valley Medical Center. Montezuma-Rimrock and Sedona firefighters, along with Department of Public Safety officers, handled the crash scene.
