Friday, May 30, 6 p.m. witnesses watched in horror as a car traveling south on Hwy. 89A crossed the northbound lane of oncoming traffic and went over the edge, coming to rest 100 feet from the roadway. Robin Joy Warner, 54, who had been living out of her car in the Cottonwood area, according to Sedona Police Cmdr. Ron Wheeler, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to witnesses, speed was not an issue in the accident. The investigation continues, Wheeler said.
