Thanks for the unseen5 min read

Guess what I’m writing about at Thanksgiving time.  My thanks may surprise you, change your life or the way you see.

First, I am so thankful for all of my family whom I adore and consider impeccable in their spirit.

Thankful for happy memories of my mother and father. Though they passed away about two decades ago, I believe they watch, love and guide me.

Grateful to still have my mother’s twin brother in my life. Though fraternal twins, his face now resembles my mother’s, and being male, represents both mother and father to me. He has changed my life.

Though I haven’t traveled to see all of my relatives on the East coast in two years, I am grateful for telephones, cell phones, car phones, cameras, webcams, email and I admit, grateful for facebook. Grateful I have many modes of transportation available to visit them “relatively” soon.

I am thankful for treasured friends, sprinkled around the world, including Paradise Valley and greater Sedona, where I get to enjoy them Thanksgiving. You can friend me on facebook at Rachel Spirit.

Though not currently in a romantic relationship, I am grateful that I enjoy my own company and know I am significant enough, with or without a significant other. That said, I am open to your proposing a getting-to-know-you coffee date, or one with your wonderful brother, father, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, or young-at-heart granpapa.

Thank God for God! Though I can’t physically hug and kiss God, nor my departed family members (including my former husband, also passed on too soon), nor my relatives and other friends thousands of miles away; nor spend these days with the man that made my heart swoon, who’s with someone new, I’m happy for them, and in the imagination God gave me, I feel hugged by all those unseen.

The love of God is always with me, caressing me, whispering true love in my inner ear. It is God who has gifted me with the opportunity to love and feel loved, to love myself so fully, to delight at beauty all around me, to learn and grow, seeing the gifts in challenges, to value what is truly valuable:  health, wisdom, faith, inner peace and of course all forms of love; those intangible things that make us feel like we have so much. Even the seeming tangible things we may take for granted; a cozy blanket as we surrender to sleep. Sleep, itself. Food. Water to drink and clean with, the ability to express ourselves with our God-given talents, and of course, the almighty LOL!

Sure I could focus on what may be perceived as “not so great” around me and the world at large, yet my perceptions choose the positive view. I have learned to read a sacred language that I believe is God’s language and I like its view.

To “hear” God is such a blessing. God speaks to those who have eyes to “see” and ears to “hear;” which can be heard through intuition, and interpreted via watching/reading alignments of our celestial bodies, translated as far back as ancient times. Calendars are based on it, the Farmers’ Almanac publishes it, and you can read Bible quotes on my www.goddesstheway.com website that support it.

We are meant to know what energetic characteristics are available in the bigger picture so we can use our free will to proactively choose positively, rather than just default. Where some “see” and “hear” chaos and breakdown, living in angst and fear, we can also tune in to the unseen, positive overview.

Have you ever watched TV’s Extreme home makeover, where the original home is run down, unhealthy to live in, and infested with rats? Pluto is the heavenly body which exposes what was hidden, what’s toxic and hurts, knocks down what’s wrong like bulldozing the pathetic house, and transforms things to be healed and better.

For the first time in 284 years Pluto went into Capricorn about three years ago, and will stay there for several more years, exposing and fixing Capricorn issues. Capricorn represents the system standards, the authorities, responsibility, hard work, age and wisdom, traditions, customs, and foundations, such as government, politics and politicians, religion’s man-made rules, and the economy, etc.; things we thought were set in stone.

Pluto says, after 284 years it’s time to update outdated, outworn traditions and systems that no longer work for us, bring them current with the times, and make them more humane. Even those matured with age carry more clout now, like a fine wine; 80 is the new 60; 60 the new 40…

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Thanksgiving night it’s time for our New Moon Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius. Eclipses actually eclipse what has been, and Solar eclipses bring new destiny and fate that builds over 2-3 years. Sagittarian characteristics are happy, optimistic, generous, abundant, love to learn, teach, read, represent foreign cultures, languages, travel, man-made religious and other laws, mind-expanding philosophies, and truth, among other things.

Be grateful, with me, that the time has come when attention is being focused on old traditions which need to be made cutting-edge, state-of-the-art, and that they are, and will continue to be reconstructed.

You are starting to see glimpses of how much better it will be living, not only in a brand new millennium, but a brand New Age well. The Age of Aquarius rules astrology, technology, revolution for truth and freedom, brotherhood, humane personal and planetary treatment, as well as utopian enlightened “new age” consciousness. The millennium is now 2000. Two is peace, love and brotherhood.

Count your blessings every day, not just Thanksgiving day. Rather than see lack, see how much you have. Rather than hear news as bad, listen for the underlying truth.  It’s life changing.

Thank You for reading (what’s on) my mind.
