Since it’s time to RE everything, because Mercury (communication) is RE-trograde, and the subject of re-lationships has come up more often than usual, let’s re-view this phenomenon. People have been telling me they’re being re-visited by people from their past. That’s usual when Merc’s retro. I’ve been told things have been RE-versing. I understand. That’s Merc retro too. How to navigate it is the re-ward.

If we consider life our job to learn about, our employer would want us to know timing like a stockbroker with an ear to business trends; when to take the most appropriate action. Our ancestors noticed day and night re-peating cycles, weekly re-peating cycles, months and seasons… by interpreting the repeating patterns in the starry skies, including repeated weather patterns, which all led to efficient timing of planting, harvesting and storing, etc. The ancients possessed information allowing them to build pyramids that we haven’t re-discovered yet. Clearly we want to know what they knew. Keep climbing the pyramid/ladder higher toward success and re-velation.

They had a close re-lationship with their universe. Just because we have so many things that distract us from the starry heavens, and we now have a closer re-lationship with the Kardashians, preferring to keep up with them, it doesn’t mean we can’t have both. One for virtual reality; the other with real stars to be guided by.

First, learn what the dates are every year. You can google that easily. It happens three times yearly for over three weeks each time, so be pre-pared and re-lax. Re-alize that when we include the shadow times (re-read previous blog) Merc retro periods take up about 3 months out of every year! As the executive of your own company, do you believe that is a considerable amount of time and worthy of using correctly?

“Timing is everything.” In business it would be the time to focus on re-peat customers. Re-contact them. Re-think how to maximize re-lationships with those from the past, re-organize the office, re-vise your strategies for future success. Are visitors re-turning to Sedona now? Capture their contact information to re-contact them later, and give them a re-ason to re-turn to you.

If re-lationships seem to be re-versing, mark your calendar so you know when this down time will re-gain forward motion and re-wind back up again. For this Mercury retrograde period, that would be the night of Dec. 13. Right now, it is time to re-think, am I with the right person, and if things slow down, are you wise enough to know it’s just communications taking a vacation from being outward, to bringing us inward. Ask yourself, why am I with this person? Where do I want to go with it? What needs to be tweaked? Have I overlooked how they re-gard and treat me just to get the treats? Re-evaluate why you may be allowing yourself to be demeaned, and re-set your standards. Don’t forget to ask am I giving enough and treating my partner well? Re-vitalize.

If that one whom you jumped into intimacy with when you met 3 months ago, isn’t asking you out right now, or putting as much effort into the re-lationship, ask yourself, what, in fact, is our re-lationship? Re-view. Did we tell each other we weren’t looking for commitment? Or still haven’t discussed it? So why the surprise when we’re not experiencing it right now? Merc is asking us to take a pause and check in with ourselves, to see inner truth. Am I truly myself with this person, am I a better person with them, or am I re-lapsing into behaviors or situations I don’t like?  Perhaps we do want commitment. Is there value in taking time to look before I leap? Re-enter your data clearly, within, so that the results on the outer will match, bringing quality re-lations with this person or someone else. Are re-lationships from the past re-brewing? Keep in touch with your inner authority to know if re-connecting would have worth, and take your time. That’s what retros re-mind us.

Mercury is doing its backstroke in the sign of Sagittarius, which rules the search for truth, lawgivers, universities, athletics and man-made religious laws, broadcasting, journalism and more. Did you see the recent TV show segment about a particular church sect that preaches God hates America because we allow certain various types of people to live here, preaches against those who fight for our country, and will throw a child permanently out of the family and home just for questioning their religious laws?

We are re-looking at the supposed truth of what politicians are claiming or denying, re-opening all types of issues, including re-searching the mistreatment of boys by athletic icons in universities. A most recent expose’ was about a famed college marching band known for hazing, (like many colleges), and though complaints had been made through the years, nothing was ever done by university officials to stop the many hours of re-peated brutal re-lating put upon one student at a time, by a bevy of others. Perhaps the death of this boy by hazing, will bring sufficient attention to re-buke it on campuses.

Then there’s the re-lating we do daily in simple conversation. Do we relish speaking poorly of others to make ourselves seem superior? The re-lationship with self is an ongoing growth process. Speaking well of others speaks well of you.
