Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a home burglary in the Sedona area that netted thieves thousands of silver coins, bars of silver, gold coins and $80,000 in cash.
On Dec. 9, just before 8 p.m., YCSO deputies were called to the 11500 block of Boynton Pass Road northwest of Sedona regarding a burglary.
A storage room door had been pried open and gold and silver pieces valued in the thousands were gone, according to Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Dwight D’Evelyn.
