Visitor numbers seem to be increasing steadily since a 2009 tourism lull.

According to statistics provided by the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, approximately 3 million visitors are expected to pay a visit to Sedona this year. Those who stay overnight are expected to pay, on average, $483 a day.

The chamber tallies its number based on visitors who stop at the Uptown Visitor Information Center and request more information and a national study that follows national consumer demographics.

The chamber also follows trends from its Facebook page, which currently has 10,000 fans.

Sedona Chamber of Commerce Director of Visitor Services Leslie Hunt said Sedona is “holding our own” when it comes to visitor numbers in the city.
