On Tuesday, June 5, SimonMed Imaging in Cottonwood will reopen as the Verde Valley Medical Imaging Center.

The center will close Friday, May 18, as part of its recent sale to the Verde Valley Medical Center. VVMC announced the sale Wednesday, May 2.

Following the May 18 closure, the Willard Street center in Cottonwood will receive an equipment upgrade, remodeling, staff education and a licensing inspection performed by the Arizona Department of Health Services. During that time, patients will be redirected to VVMC’s imaging departments in Cottonwood or Sedona.

Verde Valley Medical Center President and CEO Dr. James Bleicher said the goal of the acquisition is to provide better service to customers in the Verde Valley.
