Fingerprints and DNA may lead investigators to cracking the recent rash of burglaries in both the Village of Oak Creek and Sedona.

According to Sedona Police Cmdr. Marlayne Hatler, clues recovered from the scene of recent burglaries, reported April 20, may help investigators identify possible suspects in the crimes.

“We’re looking at leads. We’ve submitted more evidence for forensic examinations,” Hatler said. “We’re continuing to interview investigative leads and any potential witnesses. Nobody has been identified as a suspect at this time.”

Sedona police responded to two burglaries in West Sedona on April 20 on both the east and west side of the city, according to information from the Sedona Police Department. Those burglaries occurred on Bell Rock Drive and White Tail Lane. The burglaries occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
