Kids love to use their imagination, and Camp Bear Wallow will give them a chance through the summer months to really run with it.

The art camp for kids starts Monday, June 4, and ends with a party Friday, July 13, said Nancy Robb Dunst, the camp’s director.

“I think creativity and innovation is so important for kids. In the future they’re going to need that,” Dunst said. “This will be my 15th year for Camp Bear Wallow. I love working with kids and seeing them create.”

The mission of Camp Bear Wallow is to develop programs that nurture the curiosity, joy and creativity of children. Each week includes painting, building, sculpting, hiking and discovering. Guest artists will come to the camp and work with the children.

At the end of the camp, a garden party and art exhibition will feature the children’s work. It will be open to the public, and refreshments will be served, Dunst said.
