Two robberies occurred in West Sedona between Oct. 19, and Oct. 21.
The first occurred at Bashas’ Grocery Store in West Sedona just after 4:30 a.m. Oct. 19. The second occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at the Walgreens in West Sedona on Oct. 21.
While arrests were made in connection with the Bashas’ robbery, no arrests have been made in connection with the Walgreens incident, according to Sedona Police Department Police Chief Ray Cota.
“I don’t have any new information. The case remains open, and we are still interacting with local agencies trying to develop additional leads,” Cota said.
SPD Cmdr. Ron Wheeler said a lone suspect entered the West Sedona Walgreens with a possible gun hidden under a newspaper.
He subsequently made off with pain medication from the pharmacy at the back of the store.
Following the mid-day robbery, Walgreens closed to the public while police investigated the incident.
