Sedona Red Rock High School alumna, Brittani Louise Taylor is following her dream and enjoying film and television success in Hollywood.
From an early age, Taylor knew she wanted to be an actress. She won the lead in her very first audition as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz.” She went on to win roles in several local productions including three Missoula Children’s Theater productions, school plays and plays performed at the Sedona Public Library. She also did a commercial.
“I did, like, 15 different plays when I was younger,” Taylor said. “Acting’s always been my thing — what I wanted.”
Taylor attended all three of the Sedona-Oak Creek School District schools while she lived in Sedona and was active in the theater group at Sedona Red Rock High School. She came with her parents, Robert and Barbara Taylor, and brother Blake Taylor from Minnesota when she was 1½ years old.
“This, Sedona, is where she got her start. This community has been great to Brittani,” said Barbara Taylor. “They encourage the children. We need to encourage our kids.”
After high school, Brittani Taylor pursued education in marketing and business. She attributes this knowledge as being pivotal in her success. She worked in the marketing field while pursuing her acting career and auditioning for casting directors.
