One big game is left for the NFL season, which means the baseball players are heading down south for spring training. With the start of spring training comes the start of Little League in Sedona and the Verde Valley.

The Sedona Little League Baseball and Softball programs have begun registration for 2013 and this season, the league hopes to have a more competitive and enjoyable baseball atmosphere in Sedona and with the adjoining towns.

Any boy or girl of the area, ages 5 and up, can register to play.

The league is hoping to start practice at the beginning of March and have Opening Day in the beginning or middle of April. The games are played in Sedona and the neighboring communities of Camp Verde and Cottonwood during the week, although the league is hoping to have some games on Saturdays this season.
