The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation department has teamed up with the Sedona running store for the first-ever 5K Summer Series: three 5K races scheduled on a once-a-month basis starting in May. The races are planned to start and end at the Loop Trail by the Posse Grounds Park pool. Runners will run on the Sunrise Trail as well as other dirt and paved trails throughout the park with the scenic red rock views, and will end with a jump in the Sedona Community Pool to cool off.

Just because the 2013 Sedona Marathon is over and done with doesn’t mean there won’t be other opportunities for runners to race among the gorgeous red rock scenery.

The city of Sedona Parks and Recreation department has teamed up with a Sedona running store for the first-ever 5K Summer Series.

Three 5K races are scheduled on a once-a-month basis starting in May. All ages are welcome to participate, but children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Each race is $10 per person, or $25 per person for all three races.
