By now we’ve noticed that the mind is always active. Sometimes it may be going back and forth between decisions; do this, no do that. Eat that. No, eat this instead. It seems to rest when we are actively doing what it has decided, yet it’s still assimilating the scenery. And sometimes it’s still spinning, isn’t it?
What about when it has become a source of great tension, even nervous anxiety? Loud doubt or insecurities, even fear can seem like a bullhorn in our inner ear. Remember, everything is energy and we can slow it down or quiet it to beneath a whisper so that our attention can be on more positively creating energy.
We may not think we’re solving our mysteries if we move our attention elsewhere, but we can certainly have a hand in taking a break from the oober-fast, noisy research and analyzing our mind is doing. Just like emails come in if you’re not watching, your processing system can work beneath your radar.
Don’t believe that everything reaching your mind is in your best interests either. Much of it is lies.
Radicals spew perceptions of doom and hate every day. Some songs and TV shows leak disrespect, greed, alcohol, drugs, rage, envy, crime, brutality, and hospital stays into our consciousness every day.
We’re like sponges and by the universal natural law of attraction, magnetize right into our daily lives, what we allow ourselves to absorb. If you choose to listen and watch, you choose to allow the content into your own life.
But there are also shows and reading materials that give insights about creating love, inner peace and physical wellness. Others are entertaining, encouraging our talents, creativity, and set the bar for behaviors to replicate, which create self-respect and joy.
What’s showing up in your life is a result of what you allow to fill your mind. You may consciously believe you don’t buy the lies or fantasies, but the subconscious knows no difference, is about 97% of our make-up, and where everything is created.
Give your mind a guard. What’s allowed in and what’s banned. Make affirmations so that you are choosing what you feed yourself. Your world is yours to create.
Ways to ease the mind can be taking deep breaths from the abdomen. Let the breaths out with a deep release through the mouth, just letting everything go. Let it all go. Relax your shoulders, relax your jaw, and relax your eyelids. Be aware of your connection with universal divine intelligent loving source energy, remembering that you are created from this.
Allow yourself to be calm and let your mind be clear. Put yourself on automatic to continually accept healing for your journey through life, and listen to the inner voice that you do trust, guide you to your highest choices. Decisions and mysteries usually don’t have to be made or solved right now. If we relax, they may come instantly, otherwise know they come in divine time.
Tell yourself that you are grounded. Grounded in faith and intuition. Grounded in personal strength and self-empowerment. Remind yourself to stay grounded in joy. And be grateful that this and more is always available as your truth.
Take a deep deep breath again from your abdomen and just let it all release deeply through your mouth as you notice you’re giving yourself permission to relax your shoulders again. And your jaw. And your eyelids. When you feel ready to return from this centered peaceful positive state, tell yourself your perceptions see only goodness in life, by the power of what you choose to give energy to. Everything has an ultimate higher purpose in the big weave we all are part of.
Drumming at a nice slow beat, or tuning in restful music can take us away into a calm state. When you notice your mind on overactive duty loudly weighing logistics constantly round and round, remember you can tune in whatever frequency you choose. Dial in just the right form of energy that suits your desire at any time. Lower the volume, or even raise it when helpful. Sometimes taking a good break from a subject, rewards us with a clear resolution.
The best clue is to stay in tune with to your own sensitivities. Is my mind in a good energetic place? Is it too loud or vexatious? Too obsessive? Too angry? Dial your energy to a balanced state. Have I fried my brain? Lay down for a few minutes. Do I feel like I’m rushing? Deep breath.
Sometimes we want our mind to be very active. Dial it up by throwing your arms up in a cheer and saying Yes, yes, yes! Yes I can! Yes I am! Take fast breaths. Move your body around and stir that energy. That’s your body. In your mind you can choose a setting of clear yet calm activity. Choose faith in trusting your intuition to give you signs and signals of what you need to be aware of.
Spend more time in the pauses between thoughts. In the eye that is centered amid every storm. Observe from the quiet center without judging, and as much as you can, keep your distance from thoughts that distress. De-stress. Let your mind remind you, that you have free will to choose your perceptions and your peace. We have choices; give a piece of your mind, give yourself peace of mind, or merge both.
