Emily Aitken may be setting a winning tradition for Sedona Red Rock High School softball team.

The Sedona sophomore has a sweet demeanor about her, but once someone gets her talking about softball, her fiery passion for the game is exposed. That fire only increases when she steps onto the mound.

Aitken is the Scorpions’ starting pitcher.

So far the team has an untouched 4-0 record, something that was surprising to some since the team is so young and relatively undersized.
