Spring is here! Are you and your kids ready for the egg hunt? Saturday, March 30, the Sedona Parks and Recreation Department will present the 2013 Celebration of Spring at Posse Grounds Park from 9 a.m. to noon.

The event will feature the annual egg hunt, along with kid-friendly vendors as well as carnival rides, pony rides and other fun activities for the whole family. The egg hunt — being held in the upper softball field of the park — will be divided up into three separate age groups with an additional scavenger hunt planned for older children ages 9 to 12. Parks and Recreation is touting 10,000 eggs in total to be found on the park grounds.

Naturally, as in years past, the Easter Bunny will also be in attendance and be available for photo opportunities with kids young and old. Another returning favorite for the kids will be the petting zoo featuring various cute and cuddly animals for folks to pet and handle.
