The Sedona Red Rock High School Scorpions have lost seven of their nine games this season with their most recent loss being handed to them by the Mingus Union Marauders [13-5-1]. The Scorpions lost 20-4 at home on Tuesday, April 2, but the team had a few bright spots. A fifth inning burst by the Marauders and nine errors is what killed it for Sedona.

“For four innings, we played fairly decent and showed improvement,” SRRHS Head Coach Randy Hafner said. “In the fifth inning, we lost our way, just kind of lost out focus. We have to learn when things don’t go our way, we stop the bleeding and continue to preserve [that focus].”

The Marauders scored one run in the top of the first inning after an error on an attempted double play.
