The Sedona Red Rock softball team [4-6] lost to the Chino Valley Cougars [6-11] 18-6 at home on Monday, April 8, but sometimes the score isn’t indicative of the effort a team put forth on the field.

According to Scorpions Head Coach John Parks, the girls had one of their best games so far this year.

“On defense there were no mistakes, and on offense they ran the bases really well,” Parks said. “It was one of the better games of the year.”

On an unusually cold, blustery day, the evenly-matched teams took the field with winds of more than 30 mph and gusts reaching 52 mph.
