Assisting in car accidents, enforcing traffic laws and keeping the community safe is all in a days work for Sedona Police Department officer James Carne. Carne has been working at the Sedona Police Department since 2007. Prior to that he worked at a detention facility in Phoenix for two years.

“I love my job. It is very interesting. There are no two days that are the same.” Carne said. “We are like a family here at the police department. I think we have a neat department the officers are very nice.”

Carne patrols the east Sedona beat. His first duty is to answer calls of service, but patrolling the streets and making sure that residents and visitors are safe is a critical part of his shift.
