The Big Park Community School baseball team played well against the toughest team in the league, but had to take the second loss of season against them.

The Coyotes are now 6-3 in league play after losing to the Camp Verde Middle School Cowboys, 7-4 on Thursday, April 11, at Camp Verde.

“I was proud of how the boys played,” Big Park Head Coach Matt Schumacher said. “Camp Verde usually hands it to us. We played well, but had some small errors. I think Camp Verde has beaten each team in our division twice.

“I was a happy coach to take that loss. The boys came together when they needed to instead of getting down.”

Julian Travalgia got the first run off a walk when the bases were loaded.
