Our traffic lights are very clear in silent communication. They indicate what is in our best interests to do on our journey, and when we pay attention, we follow their signals for our safety. Not so clear are our own mental signals, all of the time.
Some people are always ready to go with green at the git-go; speed through yellow because they don’t relish slowing, and miss the advantage of seeing the reality and sweetness of the landscape, when it turns red for a couple of minutes. Breathe deeply, take it in. Go, go, go is all they know. I’ve done that, have you?
The one who only likes green is giving every sign that they want to move forward, flashing green, green, green to the oncoming human traffic. They love speeding to the destination and that’s quite okay. Others may rather savor the journey, moving slower, valuing awareness, and noticing more, like letting the taste sit on the tongue, allowing the full flavor to linger. Yellow, slowed down, allows time to compile data and determine what color to go forward with after careful research. Have you done that? I have.
How many times have you said slow or stop, when you really desired the situation to go forward anyway. I know I have. Sometimes we may project and expect red, because of old paradigms, programming and memories. You too?
There’s such a thing as intuition, yet there is also the mind overwhelmed with so many signals, all flashing multi colors at once. How to know? Remembering that when you went green immediately, sometimes you regretted it. So you place your bets on yellow. Chicken yellow? J Not always!
Some have told you in the past to speed up or you won’t make it to the finish line. Another suggestive thought could argue it would be in your best interests to put your foot on the brake and stop, because you’re not getting the green light to go.
There was an invitation to a gathering that I felt red about, for me, yet the invitation repeated itself week after week and eventually I found myself full-on, green to go, and it has been fabulous. Sometimes it’s timing. We can change colors, and each shows our real colors, as time passages.
There have been situations presented to me as green as green could be, to find out later they had suddenly turned red when I wasn’t looking. My initial energy had felt yellow, slow, at first, then immediately realized I was turning green desiring to go through it.
Well, too late, as I discovered the opportunities had changed to red. Okay. I trust in a higher power that ultimately has my and your best interests at heart. I can flow with the tide, and you can too.
There is a difference between being a clear channel for pure intuition, and hearing mundane changeable mental signals. In my daily life I don’t go around reading minds, however, when I devote myself to a client I am an open vessel reading spiritual insights just for them; myself stepping aside.
Otherwise, like you, in our busy, busy minds, we can all waver from our own intuition to our own mixed signals. Ha! Sometimes we just Know, and other times we’re uncertain. That’s okay too.
If quieting our minds to listen deeper doesn’t bring discernment, have faith that when the time is right, we’ll know. Sometimes it’s a good practice to sit with unknowing and let that be okay. The road can turn dark, stormy or foggy and head lights or fog lights can make the way clearer. Things are not always what they seem unless you slow down to take a deeper look.
One way to clear what people call the ‘monkey mind’ is to picture ourselves in the center/eye of a storm. Things are swirling all around us and sometimes it seems like chaos or danger. If we stay in the eye of the storm, the calm is there. The quiet. The peace. We observe the activity around us, and that is the key.
Recognize we are simply the observer, not really part of the ‘stuff,’ and in our quiet center of everlasting peace, we can often access intuitive insights of what is real, how it is our gift, and gain positive, win-win choices.
Whether signs change color or not, there is always God’s love that never changes from green, though some people may currently be color challenged or blind. God’s love is always welcoming us to come forward, come closer, move into the path that is always lit for us with empowerment. We were put on this road by a higher benefactor, and the light of love is the only signal to pay closest attention to. Every signal is for the highest good.
