Photographer awarded by Manhattan art group1 min read

Manhattan Arts International recently announced the winners of its Award of Excellence. For the theme Art that Lifts Our Spirits, Sedona’s own Georgia Michalicek won for her photograph, “The Spaces in Between.” The winners’ work will be displayed on Manhattan Arts International’s website until Saturday, Nov. 23.

Michalicek’s photograph of a particular tree growing along Oak Creek fits well into the award’s theme. She hopes her work will open people up to the world around them and allow nature to lift them up.

“Oftentimes, people miss the beauty in things because we don’t look at the spaces in between,” Michalicek said.
