Lego is no longer just a building game; it is an intense competition.
Nobody local understands that better than the robotics club at Big Park Community School, which meets three hours a week, twice a week after school — with possible weekend meetings pending — in order to get ready for the Northern Arizona FIRST Lego League regional tournament in Flagstaff on Saturday,
Nov. 23.
“We have a lot of fun while exploring science, math and engineering,” Big Park science teacher Diane Schumacher said. “The purpose of our club is to design, build and program Lego robots.
