The Flagstaff Symphony ensemble, in cooperation with Chamber Music Sedona, used the talents of Maria and Henry Flurry to help put on “Sticks and Tones,” its final student presentation, Monday, Nov. 4, at the Sedona Charter School.
Presentations were made possible by a grant awarded the Flagstaff Symphony by the Sedona Community Foundation with the intention for the grant to be used in the local school systems. For a smooth operation in Sedona, Flagstaff Symphony called Chamber Music Sedona to assist in facilitating school events. “Sticks and Tones” was the part of the series designed especially for students.
“It’s intended as a fun program, an interactive program, and one to get the kids charged up about getting involved in music,” said Bert Harclerode, Chamber Music Sedona executive director and tuba player.
