Jeanette Lea Holtz, 85, of Sedona, died Nov. 27.

Born in Andrew, Iowa, she attended nursing school in Chicago and married Max Bacon. She lived in Harlan, Iowa until 1979 when she and her second husband, L. David Holtz, moved to Sedona.

She is survived by her son, Max Bacon II, of Sedona, and daughter Valli Jensen, of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
