Winter camp lets kids unwind on break1 min read

Even on winter break, sometimes children need a little more to cool off from a long school semester.

The Sedona YMCA at Posse Grounds Park will offer that something for area children 6 to 12 years of age as they wrap up the last part of their winter break. A kids camp will be offered from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 30 and 31, and Thursday and Friday, Jan. 2 and 3, at 525 Posse Grounds Road.

For those parents who regularly send their children to the after-school program, fear not — the program will run alongside the winter camp, sharing in the activities for the three hours it is held, 3 to 6 p.m. This includes normal exercise activities, such as obstacle courses, similar to those practiced in school gym classes.
