The Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition held its fall show, “Shadows … A Mystery In Art” in November. During the show, several awards were up for grabs for the gallery’s finest artists. Lynn Toneri was the recipient of the People’s Choice award.

Toneri is originally from the San Fransico Bay Area and has had a talent for art since high school, where she was selected as the class’ outstanding artist.

“I was awarded for that,” Toneri said. “When I told my mom I was going to be a beautician, she said ‘To hell with that, you’re going to art school.’ So it was my mother’s encouragement that got me there.”
