The Sedona Elks Lodge will host a Hoop Shoot open to all children in the Verde Valley on Saturday, Jan. 11, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Sedona Red Rock High School gymnasium.

The free-throw competition is free to enter and open to all Verde Valley children born between May 1, 2000, and May 1, 2006.

Three age groups will each crown a champion who will play in the North District Hoop Shoot in Chino Valley at the end of January. The top three boys and girls in each age group receive medals.
