Jean Ruth Geertgens, 83, of Sedona, died Jan. 24.

A native of Seattle, she was a Sedona resident since 1999.

She is survived by her husband Phil; daughters Dawnne Ernette of Reno, Nev., Julia [Rex] Oxford of Boise, Idaho, Jayne Taylor of Elk, Wash., and Jill [Art] Wilson of Puyallup, Wash.; son Daniel [Diane] Thom of Maple Valley, Wash.; sister Geraldine White of Marysville Wash.; brother Alan [Barbara] Holt of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; and many grandchildren.

Andrew Pardiac

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
