Williams High School has turned into Sedona Red Rock High School’s nemesis on the diamond this season — proving that close only counts in horseshoes.
The Scorpions baseball team held the Knights scoreless the whole game Wednesday, April 9 — except for a bloop RBI double in the fourth inning, losing 1-0.
Softball had the Knights beaten, up 7-3 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. A five-run comeback off two missed pop flies and a triple, however, and the Scorpions are also coming home Friday, April 11, unable to redeem their season-opening loss to the Knights, suffering a 8-7 road loss.
