Despite separate 9-0 shutout losses to end the regular season against Scottsdale Christian Academy, three boys and three girls from Sedona Red Rock High School’s tennis teams are excited about where they’re headed — State.

“Now they know what to expect for the heat,” Heckrodt said to assistant coach Phil Kovacs while preparing for their first-round matchups Friday, April 25, in Phoenix. “Make sure they have water and Gatorade.”

Senior Sarah Grover and juniors Max Hauserman, Andrija Anzel, Keely Miller, Yvesche Schlee and Benny Guadarrama will begin Division III singles and doubles tournament play at 8:30 a.m. at the Paseo Racquet Center.
