You’ve heard it said you need a vacation after your vacation. After two (2) weeks’ preparation, I just got back after two (2) weeks away, vacating my home in Sedona. You can call it jet lag, because I had to first readjust to eastern time, which is three (3) hours later, then back again to three (3) hours earlier time, but it has been feeling more like mental fatigue; my mind had taken its own vacation after my vacation.
Mucho dinero (much money) was vacated from my accounts to arrange for, experience and readjust from vacation. I vacated bedding quarters eight (8) times during vacation, each with much luggage to unpack and repack, launder and hand wash.
I vacated my automobile and left it with an airport hotel I stayed in before and after my flights, entrusting it to them for the entire length of my trip. I vacated airplanes, airport limousines, others’ cars, and a rental car.
The airport hotel vacated on their promise to keep my car safe. There is now damage they say I can’t prove because I didn’t claim it before driving away. My mental fatigue was such I had asked for a very late check out, and with low mental energy, gladly stepped around to the driver side and left.
The parking valet had situated the car, in parking it by me, in such a way that unless my brain and spirit were alert enough to encourage me to walk to the front of it for inspection, I would not naturally have seen the opposite front damaged corner.
The way he positioned the car, it was intuitive to walk the shorter distance behind it, to get in. I did pass both sides and the back to get inside. They looked fine. Glancing inside, it looked usual. The bellman/valet had put my luggage in the back and I paid the last tip of the trip, in appreciation.
Their garage snapshots I ultimately requested show a bright light, like a flashed bulb, right where the damage is, so they were no help.
The initial claim ticket I requested shows the note of my previous low and horizontal front fender scratches I drove in with and was honest about, before completing my conversation about the new damage. Prius has a very low front fender for aerodynamics, yet will scrape a curb when parking too close to one.
However, the claim ticket does not mention a 7” half circle body crack on the indented higher part of the bumper, many vertical black marks, or bumper hole cover missing, all higher above my own low horizontal fender scratches.
They expect I will vacate my discussion with them over this because I did not make the claim before leaving their property, but half hour later when outside the car and seeing it all for the first time. I’m still waiting for a call from the Manager…
I mostly vacated my identification as a spiritual counselor, among others I spent my vacation with, who do not care to understand or discuss such things. We’re not our ‘job’ title.
I also vacated my fear during flying. That was partly due to what I learned at the Gregg Braden and Heart Institute Retreat Weekend I attended in Sedona, just before my flight the next morning. Watch this week’s Show, which will be on my website by this Saturday, where I will discuss how I stayed calm even during a quick dip during flight where it seems like one inner body part was moving into another body location, versus immediately hearing the brain go into fear mode expecting more of the same, and the pulse – heart rate get faster quick. It did not. I was peaceful.
The process I had learned at the Retreat was easy and quick and I will give it to you on my Show. You will love it and it will also change your life. Of course new procedures take practice, and eventually it can become second nature to stay in your calm and clear thinking center for long periods, no matter what.
The quick process, called resilience, is great in times of stress, anxiety, depression and so much more. The Heart Math Institute’s process is used by military, mental health fields, hospitals, health care professionals, law enforcement, schools, universities and more.
I was, along with my Show team, able to take Heart Math’s CEO, wonderful Dr. Deborah Rozman, to lunch during the Retreat weekend, and interview her on camera, but though I have a full-bodied speaking voice, alas she spoke softly and without a microphone much of what she said was low. The Institute’s documentation in scientific and medical journals will change your mind, if you only thought that the heart pumps blood and not much more.
In fact, the heart has a very large mind of its own, is the center of intelligence, and informs the brain what to think. Coherence, (heartfelt happy calm allowing you to see the bigger picture and think clearly) via resilience (quickly snapping out of stressors and one-sided focus, returning to coherence from the heart), brings alignment with your soul.
We can spend a great deal of wasted time asking the brain what we should do in a situation, but it is being in touch with the heart which brings the highest answer, and very quickly. In fact, what I will demonstrate for you on my Show, plus a device that you can practice with, if desired (though not necessary), to access the heart for your life’s advantage, has peer-reviewed research proving that even your H-e-a-l-t-h is positively affected and restored, by the simple process you will see.
Vacate your antiquated ideas about the heart and brain, and live like life is a permanent vacation. Over the rainbow.
