After 30 years, with more than 50 school-age swimmers practicing with the club year-round, it would be safe to say that Sedona loves the Swordfish now more than ever.

“We get more draw from West Sedona because we have early morning practice, but we’ve seen a steady rise in the past two or three years keeping kids,” said Swordfish head coach A. Jay Bronson. “We’ve had about 50 [swimmers] every summer, and of those, 30 go into high school, and another 10 go into full-time fall and spring swimming.

“It’s definitely an increase over the days when we’d have five kids or so. We do a great job with a great coaching staff.”
