Although tryouts for Estudantez AZ Clube do Futbol were July 26, at least one of the coaches for the Northern Arizona club soccer organization would love to see more players come out.

“We’re always adding girls,” said Derio Urueta, coach of the Estudantez club soccer team for girls 13 years old and younger. “I have a core group of girls [that] are pretty good at playing midfield. One or two forwards would be ideal, but I usually look for defensive players to help out the midfield. I can convert those, as I have in the past.”

Altogether, about 70 boys and girls have been practicing three evenings a week since July 28 for an Estudantez club soccer team, under the supervision of Director of Coaches Manny Arias, in preparation for the Soccer at the Summit tournament in Flagstaff.
