“Helluva game, huh?”

That was 67-year-old George Ireland’s feeling after helping to pitch and hit the Night Ballers to the Final Four of the Sedona Adult Softball League for the first time in the four-year history of the club.

“We only won one game in our first year. I’m so excited just to be a part of this,” he said.

Ireland struck out the last two Red Rocks Rotary batters in the top of the fifth inning on his way to the complete game upset win, 16-11.
