Garland’s Lodge has been a place for people to escape day-to-day life and enjoy nature or to simply drive up for an early dinner for the last four decades.

But now, the lodge is under new ownership.

The sale of the lodge — which had been on the market for five years — became final July 31 after being purchased by Kim and Robert Kiyosaky, Ken McElroy and Alex Gringham.

Former co-owner Mary Garland said there were inquiries over the years but most wanted to change or expand the lodge. However, she said the new owners want to keep everything status quo.

“It was a lot sweeter the fact the buyers plan to keep everything the way it is while utilizing the team of employees that are here,” she said. “They want their kids to experience the same types of things our kids did while growing up here. This has been our baby so we have a lot of fond memories.”
