The nine other Division IV volleyball teams competing in Section IV with Sedona Red Rock High School will need to be prepared.

Although two non-sectional matches are scattered near the end of the season, the Scorpions [10-3-3] made short work of Winslow High School, their final tune-up for full-time sectional play, Thursday, Sept. 18.

“This was not as competitive as I would’ve liked,” Scorpions head coach John Parks said. “There’s just some timing things with our middle, still, we need to work on. It was better against Winslow.”

Senior DeVonne Ryter showed her full array of skills in a dominant performance, slamming home nine kills, serving for seven aces and adding four digs in a 25-13, 25-11, 25-16 home win over the winless Bulldogs.
