The forecast for Friday, Oct. 10, at Sedona Red Rock High School calls for plenty of homecoming festivities with at least scattered football.
“I’m hoping we get most of the main starters out of the game at least by the end of the first half, if not sooner,” Scorpions head coach Ken Selle said. “Our goal would be to get some early scores and then an opportunity for some of our young players to get significant playing time.”
Winless Greyhills Academy, which has scored a total of six points in four games this season, comes to town from Tuba City at 7 p.m. for what everyone expects to be an early night.
“We’re not going to take them lightly either,” he said. “They drove on us the first series last year.
“But we’re going to spread the ball around, give everyone touches. Greyhills has even contacted us and told us, ‘Listen, we’re down in our numbers, go easy on us.’”
