Winning finally became more than just a hashtag for the Sedona Red Rock High School soccer teams Dec. 11 after they swept Paradise Honors High School.

Senior Jose Aviles had two goals that helped SRRHS stymie the Panthers, 5-1, while another senior, Jordyn Diepstraten, had the only goal from 20 yards out in a shutout for the Scorpions girls team.

Both teams will go for their next taste of victory in a home doubleheader Friday, Dec. 19. The boys will host Valley Lutheran High School at 3:30 p.m., followed by the girls’ 6 p.m. match against Lee Williams High School.
