After nearly 12 hours of discussion — stretched over three meetings — the Sedona City Council narrowed down its wish list for the next two years.

In early December, each council member was asked to compile a list of projects or programs they’d like to see implemented. The list was then narrowed down by a vote while some items were eliminated from the list because they are ongoing. In the end, they agreed on about 25 items during a continued council meeting on Thursday, Jan. 15.

“I feel everything went real well,” Mayor Sandy Moriarty said. “This was not only the first time for most of us in compiling a priority list but the first time any of us did so with input from the Citizen Engagement Program. We had so much more input to go through, which is why it made it so lengthy.”
