Coyotes cautious of Clarkdale, other league spoilers1 min read

Coyotes and Rams are racing neck-and-neck for the championships of both boys and girls basketball in the Verde Valley League.

But regardless of the outcome of its games Tuesday, Jan. 27, with Clarkdale-Jerome School, Big Park Community School’s seeding in the league tournaments has been firmly established at the top with the Mingus Rams.

Even though the tournaments both begin Friday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m., both boys coach Andy Galley and girls coach Kirk Westervelt are making an effort to enjoy the moment.
