On the diamond, Tigers are no match for Scorpions, as Kingman Academy proved Monday, April 6, after becoming the latest double victim of Sedona Red Rock High School.

Head coach Craig Eagle’s baseball team held off the Tigers, 9-7, to end a two-game losing streak, while softball head coach Mike Keider’s team dispatched Kingman Academy in just four-and-a-half innings, 14-4, to extend its winning streak to six games.

Both Scorpions teams have the opportunity to sting twice Wednesday, April 8, beginning at 1 p.m. when they take on Williams High School — a baseball and softball doubleheader rescheduled from the season opener due to flooded fields.

Senior Kristina Schindele makes the put-out at first base for the Sedona Red Rock High School softball team. The Scorpions won their sixth in a row with a 14-4 run-ruling of Kingman Academy on Monday, April 6.
