This spring is about small victories on the baseball and softball diamonds at Big Park Community School.

Head coaches John Johnson and Theresa Gidell have managed just one victory each against a schedule of Verde Valley League opponents, plus two games at undefeated Cottonwood Middle School.

Eighth-grader Natalie Montgomery hurls the pitch for the Coyotes in their softball loss to the Lobos on April 6.
