After heavy snowfall on Tuesday, Jan. 24, class at Sedona Red Rock High School was canceled on Wednesday,
Jan. 25, and so were its boys and girls basketball teams’ games against visiting Phoenix Christian Academy.

In the story “Girls still undefeated as regular season nears end,” it was said that the girls team would play four games in five days during the week of Jan. 23 to Jan. 27. Due to the severe weather on Tuesday, Jan. 24, its games against Mingus Mountain Academy was canceled as well.

Both teams are still scheduled to play their second Verde Valley rivalry game of the season on Friday,
Jan. 27, at home against Camp Verde High School.
Red Rock junior guard Liza Westervelt shoots a three-pointer. Westervelt was a Second Team All-Division IV selection and Co-Player of the Year for Division IV Section 1 a year ago.
The girls will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and the boys at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Jan. 28, they will host Wickenburg High School, with start times again at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
