Charles D Nyberg, 86, formerly of Sedona, died Feb. 1 in Phoenix.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he served on the board of directors and the executive committee for Hormel Foods Corporation.

He is survived by wife Mary; children Debi [Mike] Loud, James [Julie] Nyberg, Thomas [Jody] Nyberg, Chris [Mary Ellen] Nyberg and Sarah [John] Nyberg; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at Living Water Lutheran Church in Scottsdale.

A 2008 graduate of Michigan State University, Andrew Pardiac was a Larson Newspapers' copy editor and reporter from October 2013 to October 2017. After moving to Michigan, then California, Pardiac was managing editor of Sonoma West Publishers' four newspapers in Napa and Sonoma valleys until November 2019.
